On Tuesday night, CNN’s election coverage viewers expecting to see an updated electoral map instead were greeted with an image of Reddit’s college football imperialism map, updated after week 10.

“Oh, what’s this?” said an apparently surprised John King when looking at the map.

“Boy, can anyone catch Oregon?” He went on after having a moment to compose himself. “It’s still early, we’ll keep counting, but it looks like the Ducks are going take it,” King said before the graphic was replaced and normal election coverage resumed.

“If the field were solidified today, I believe the transitive champion would be Kennesaw State,” the petition stated. “Because of Vanderbilt’s early blunder against Georgia Southern, and through a slew of conference contests, Kennesaw State now has a transitive victory over most of the top teams in the country. How much fun would it be to watch the Owls battle it out against Oregon? Ducks vs Owls?! Are you kidding me?!”

“We think the Owls would be overmatched, but transitive logic indicates otherwise,” the petition concluded. “We’ll never know for sure unless the teams play the games on the field.”

As of this writing, the petition is picking up steam, with over 10,000 signatures. The stated goal is to reach over 100,000 to force a response out of the White House.
